Views in the Inventory
The Inventory is the central database where all your architecture assets are stored (applications, processes, data flows, teams, etc.).
A view is a specific way to explore and represent these assets. It allows you to filter, organise, and visualise the data according to your needs—whether for reporting, analysis, or workshop preparation.
Available View Types
You can display assets in several formats depending on your preference or use case:
- Table view – A spreadsheet-style grid for quick browsing or bulk editing.
- Card view – A more visual layout, presenting assets as individual cards with key properties.
- Pivot table – An aggregated view to analyse how assets are distributed across two dimensions (e.g. application type by department).
View Configuration Options
Each view can be customised to suit your needs:
- Organise – Choose which properties to display and reorder the columns.
- Filter by – Apply criteria to display only selected assets (e.g. critical applications).
- Sort by – Order assets based on a specific attribute (name, score, date…).
- Group by – Cluster assets by a property to add structure and clarity.
